“Houston’s dynamic medical community and strong demand for hands-on bioskills training made this expansion a clear next step. We are thrilled to support groundbreaking medical advancements in this region," said Jill Goodwill, chief operating officer for Axis Research & Technologies, in a news release.
The facility's new 10,800-square-foot bioskills lab provides advanced training and research opportunities for local surgeons, medical device companies and health care innovators, according to a news release. It also features a lab with over 20 training stations, specialized suites for bioskills education and multipurpose rooms for research.
According to the news release, it held its first lab event Feb. 22.
