Bailey, Nelson and Franks won re-election to their positions on Nov. 5, while Eissler won in a race to replace Kyle Watson, who did not seek re-election.

Ann Snyder rescinded her nomination for the role of chairman of the board during discussion of board roles. Following a written vote, the board officer positions elected were:
  • Chairman: Brad Bailey
  • Vice chair: Craig Eissler
  • Treasurer: Richard Franks
  • Secretary: Linda Nelson
"I have given great thought and prayers regarding what is best for The Woodlands Township, having the incredible opportunity and exceptional honor to serve for two years as The Woodlands Township board chair. It is time to let another board member have this wonderful opportunity," Snyder said.

Following the appointment, all board members immediately took on their new roles for the rest of the meeting.

In their own words
  • “This is an incredible role. I think that most of the public doesn't realize what it takes to run The Woodlands and what these directors do,” Watson said. “Two years is too short to really be good at this role. You have to have some experience and time underneath you, and it takes time to get in there and understand how everything works and to understand the impacts of your decisions."
  • “Kyle Watson has served The Woodlands Township board of directors with unwavering dedication, commitment and integrity,” Snyder said. “He was elected to the board in November 2022, and he quickly distinguished himself as a thoughtful leader and dedicated public servant.”
  • "We have such incredible, incredible community that is so knowledgeable on so many fronts," Bailey said. "You have my commitment 110% to work with all of you hand in hand ... whether we agree or disagree, coming to find common ground and how we can better The Woodlands is the task in front of us."
