The Woodlands 50th anniversary culminates with a weekend of live music and entertainment, featuring a fireworks and drone show Oct. 19 alongside the township's annual wildflower festival. A free concert Oct. 18 was also scheduled at The Cynthia Woods Mitchell Pavilion featuring the music of The Woodlands natives Hayes Carll and Jack Ingram as well as Lyle Lovett, who also hails from the area.

Since November 2023, Community Impact has featured an aspect of The Woodlands community each month, including other organizations and entities celebrating 50 years or milestone years in 2024-25.What's next

With the week of 50th anniversary events wrapping up, Interfaith of The Woodlands continues its food drive through October with a goal of raising 50,000 pounds of donations.

Other community events upcoming in The Woodlands in November include a new craft show presented by The Woodlands Arts Council as well as the township's annual Veterans Day tribute.


Inaugural Texas Fine Craft Show

The Woodlands Arts Council is presenting a craft show to display work of fine craft artists with a curated boutique shopping experience. Ticket proceeds will go to a microgrant program that impacts arts educators, organizations, students and independent artists in Montgomery County.

The Woodlands Township Veterans Day Tribute

The Veterans Day Tribute will feature a presentation of colors, musical performances, remarks by local dignitaries and a village troop donation challenge. A care package drop-off will be on-site throughout the event to accept donations of recommended items to be shipped to troops.
