With limits in place on public gatherings, The Woodlands Township board of directors is working on transitioning its regular meetings to videoconferencing for its scheduled public meeting March 25.

According to a news release, the meeting will allow for public participation and will be broadcast live on The Woodlands Township website at 6 p.m.

Among the items on the agenda are a discussion of community engagement meetings for the township's incorporation study as well as a continuation of the ongoing discussion regarding the coronavirus emergency.

"The Woodlands Township Board of Directors is committed and here to help our residents and business," board Chair Gordy Bunch said in a statement. "We are fortunate and blessed to have incredible support by our directors and staff to help continue meeting, in an innovative way, as we need to take care of our community."

Members of the public can call the toll-free number 877-853-5247 and enter the ID 966-224-808-# to participate in the public comment portion of the meeting. The calls will be taken in the order they are received and will only be allowed during the "public comment" item early on the agenda.

Future meetings will each have unique phone numbers to be announced by the township, according to the release.
