The owners of The Game Preserve said the arcade came about because they were tired of keeping their games and machines in their garages and decided everyone should have the opportunity to play classic games of the past. The result is a business they now call “Houston’s premier arcade experience.”
The business was launched two years ago in The Woodlands near I-45 and Brookhaven Drive. The business relocated in March to 473 Sawdust Road in Spring and has seen a higher flow of customers then ever before, said Rusty Key, one of five owners of The Game Preserve.
The arcade features more than 115 video, arcade and pinball games, with classic games such as Pac-Man, Centipede and authentic pinball machines available.
The 1980s is a theme for the business, which Key said gives customers a feel for old-fashioned, family-oriented fun.
