Adam Lamb won the race for The Woodlands Township board of directors in the Nov. 4 election with all voting centers and precincts reporting from Montgomery County and Harris County, according to unofficial results.

Lamb received 6,364 votes, or 48.66% of votes cast in the election, while among other candidates, Maria Holmes received 4,109, or 31.42% of votes, Allan Bounds received 1,754, or 13.41% of votes, and Philip Ikharebhore received 852, or 6.51% of votes. All results are unofficial until canvassed.

Lamb could not immediately be reached by Community Impact for a comment.

With 49 out of 57 Election Day precincts reporting in Montgomery County and 30 voting centers reporting in Harris County, unofficial election results on Nov. 4 show Adam Lamb receiving the most votes in the race for The Woodlands Township board of directors election, with a combined 5,507 votes, or 49.01% of the vote.

Maria Holmes received the second-highest number of votes with 3,496, or 31.21% of the vote. Allan Bounds received 1,492 votes, or 13.32% of the vote, and Philip Ikharebhore received 708, or 6.32% of the vote.

Unofficial early voting results in the election for The Woodlands Township board of directors, Position 6, show Adam Lamb has taken an early lead among Montgomery County absentee and early voters, with 2,812 votes cast, or 48.11% of the votes cast.

Among the other candidates, Maria Holmes received 1,941 votes, or 33.21% of votes cast, Allan Bounds received 742 votes, or 12.69%, and Philip Ikharebhore received 350 votes, or 5.99% of votes cast.

The Woodlands Township also consists of an area within Harris County, Creekside Park, where results have not yet been released.

The Woodlands Township does not hold runoff elections in cases where a candidate receives less than 50% of the vote.

The background

Position 6 is the only contested race in the Nov. 4 election.

Positions 5 and 7, which also have terms ending this year, are currently occupied by incumbents Shelley Sekula-Gibbs and Cindy Heiser, respectively, who are seeking reelection. Ann Snyder did not seek reelection to Position 6.
