According to the Conroe ISD COVID-19 dashboard, Conroe ISD’s substitute fill rate reached a 2021-22 school year high March 24 following the return of spring break, which was March 11-18.
The March 24 substitute fill rate was 88% with 32 of 287 open positions unfilled. Comparatively, the district reported the lowest substitute fill rate of 2022 on Jan. 24 with 57% of needed substitute positions filled. From March 21-24, the employee attendance rate remained above 96%, which was higher than the attendance on the same days the last school year.
The student attendance rate on March 23 was 95%, which was higher than the attendance rate on the same day the last school year. There were nine district employees and 60 students in isolation on March 24.
Conroe ISD Superintendent Curtis Null announced Feb. 15 the district Feb. 21 moved from COVID-19 safety alert Level 3 to Level 2. As of March 24, Conroe ISD remains at Level 2, which loosens restrictions on in-person gatherings and events.
