Parents who choose to not send their children to a public school have a variety of other education options in The Woodlands area. This guide includes a list of private school options as well as information to help parents make the best decision for their children.

Note: Tuition fees are from the 2017-18 school year and are subject to change.
Registration for most area schools begins in January or February.

Montessori

These schools follow the Montessori method approach to education that is child-centered and typically includes a more hands-on curriculum.

  1. Parents should be aware that nepotism and favoritism are rampant–and I do mean rampant–at The John Cooper School. Parents are often hired as teachers. This ends up doing harm to some students. I can speak to this from personal experience. So take it into consideration when choosing where your child will attend school.
