Ronny G’s offers selection of daiquiris to beat the heat

Since his grand opening Nov. 1, Ronny G’s Sports Bar & Grill owner Ron Gleason said daiquiris have been the drink of choice among many of the eatery’s patrons.

Gleason said the frozen rum-based cocktail is made with Island Oasis daiquiri mix and comes in six different flavors: Hurricane, whiskey and Coke, pina colada, strawberry, mango and peach. The 16-ounce beverage is $7 daily, except on Thursdays when the restaurant offers them for $5.

“You don’t find very many daiquiri places in The Woodlands where you can come and relax,” Gleason said. “We all know it gets hot out here, and it’s refreshing to get a nice, ice-cold daiquiri on a hot day. And they’ve been just as popular with the guys as they have with the girls.”

Patrons can swirl two flavors together or add a floater shot upon request, he said. The bar plans to expand their flavor selection in the future. The bar also features a wide selection of liquor and wine, and has 20 beers on tap.
