To create a Tuxedo Mocha, the baristas at Dosey Doe drizzle white and dark chocolate on the inside of a coffee mug, then pour two shots of hot espresso over the layers of chocolate. Steamed milk goes in next, and the drink is topped with more chocolate.

Server Josh McCormack said although mochas are very popular at the coffee shop and diner, the Tuxedo Mocha is one of the most requested.

“The Tuxedo Mocha in general is one of the more popular ways to get a mocha,” he said. “The chocolates combined give people a flavor that they’re looking for.”

Dosey Doe, which offers a full breakfast and lunch menu, prepares some of its bakery items, such as empanadas and scones, on-site. The double chocolate muffin complements the Tuxedo Mocha as well as the other mochas, McCormack said.

One of the perks of dining at Dosey Doe is that the restaurant caters to customers’ individual requests.

“A lot of our customers work off the menu,” McCormack said. “The great thing about a local coffee shop is that you can do a lot of drinks that are custom and make whatever guests ask for.”
