Groundbreaking on The Ritz-Carlton Residences on Lake Woodlands will begin in the third quarter of the year, according to an April 3 announcement from development company Howard Hughes.

Initially announced in October, the condominium project will include 111 units on 8 acres on Lake Woodlands near Hughes Landing, described as the “last available large-scale residential site” on the lake, according to the news release.

The 4,000-square-foot sales gallery for the complex is now open at the Howard Hughes headquarters at 9950 Woodloch Forest Drive, Ste. 1350, and 50% of the residences are under contract as of April 3, representing $250 million in sales in its opening week, according to the announcement. The project is being designed by architectural firm Robert A.M. Stern Architects.

According to the news release, the sales gallery includes kitchen and bathroom vignettes displaying materials, finishes and appliances available as well as a scale model of the building and grounds.

Amenities planned at the Residences include a fitness center, wine center, private dining rooms, concierge service and library with a private garden.
