Interior images for the upcoming Ritz-Carlton Residences planned in The Woodlands were released by developer Howard Hughes on Jan. 18.

The project, designed by Robert A.M. Stern Architects, will feature 111 private residences available in 15,000 square feet of interior space as well as 3 acres of outdoor amenities.

When completed, it will feature amenities, such as:
  • Concierge service
  • Private dining rooms
  • Wine cellar
  • Library with a private garden
  • Fitness center
  • Sauna rooms
  • Multisport virtual simulator room
Jim Carman, president of the Houston Region for Howard Hughes, told Community Impact in an email the developer sought Ritz-Carlton for the project.

“The Ritz-Carlton brand was selected by Howard Hughes for its proven track records within the branded private residences and the world of hospitality,” he said. “The Ritz-Carlton brand selected us as they understood the impact of The Woodlands as being one of the best communities to live in the U.S.”

What they’re saying

Developers have weighed in on what they say the project will bring to the area.

“The Ritz-Carlton Residences, The Woodlands sets a new standard for luxury residential condominium living in Texas, immersing residents in an elevated living experience from the moment they arrive home,” Carman said in the news release. “Spanning approximately 8 acres with 1,200 feet of lakefront shoreline, the project provides a quality and breadth of amenities and lifestyle offering that are unmatched.”

Carman provided additional details about the project in a Jan. 2 email to Community Impact.

“Located on the last available large-scale residential site on Lake Woodlands, these homes will be the first Ritz-Carlton branded stand-alone residences in Texas, spread across 8 private acres in the heart of The Woodlands,” Carman said. “Plans for The Ritz-Carlton Residences, The Woodlands include 111 condominiums for sale with world-class amenities, ornate European-style gardens, on-site restaurant, and flex office rooms. Meticulous details on the premier development are inspired by iconic Texas estates.”

“The Ritz-Carlton Residences, The Woodlands is a one-of-a kind project that reflects our steadfast commitment to exceptional planning and quality design—and to creating unique experiences that make our communities among the most sought-after places to live in the country,” Howard Hughes CEO David R. O’Reilly said in the news release.
