A book-signing reception for the biography of The Woodlands founder, "George P. Mitchell: Fracking, Sustainability, and an Unorthodox Quest to Save the Planet," by Loren C. Steffy, is planned for 6 p.m. Oct. 10 at Glade Arts Foundation in The Woodlands. The author will be present for the signing, along with Coulson Tough and Robert Heineman, key figures in the formation of The Woodlands, according to a news release. Steffy has also written books, such as "Drowning in Oil: BP and the Reckless Pursuit of Profit" and "The Man Who Thought Like a Ship." Glade Arts Foundation is located at 2000 Woodlands Parkway, The Woodlands. The event requires business or business casual attire and an RSVP. Complimentary hors d'oeuvres and wine will be served.
