The George and Cynthia Woods Mitchell Library will host children ages 5-12 for a morning and afternoon of Lego building. Yappy Hour

Operation Pets Alive will host Yappy Hour at Churrascos for pets and their owners on the patio. Cocktails and appetizers specials will be available for all humans, and homemade treats will be on hand for pets. A blood drive will be held at Harley-Davidson of The Woodlands this weekend benefiting the Gulf Coast Regional Blood Center. Public Safety Open House

The Woodlands Township Neighborhood Watch will host a public safety open house at Woodlands Fire Department Station No. 4. Visitors can tour the facility and get an up-close look at the fire apparatus and rescue units. Residents can also meet the station's firefighters as well as deputies from the Montgomery County Sheriff's Office, the Crime Prevention Unit and the Precinct 4 Harris County Constable's Office. 3-4:30 p.m. Free.
