The Woodlands Area Economic Development Partnership announced in a Dec. 2 news release that long-time Chief Operating Officer Holly Gruy will leave the position effective Dec. 31.

Why it matters

Established in 1997, The Woodlands Area EDP is responsible for recruiting and supporting commercial business development and relocations in The Woodlands area. Gruy joined the EDP as chief operating officer in 1999 and served in the position for 25 years, according to the news release.

"Her dedication to operational excellence has enabled the EDP to consistently meet strategic goals, supporting the organization’s efforts to attract new businesses to The Woodlands area and fostering a vibrant business ecosystem," EDP officials said in the release.
