Woodforest National Bank purchased two six-story office buildings in Town Center in The Woodlands at 1450 Lake Robbins Drive and 1330 Lake Robbins Drive totaling 275,000 square feet, according to a Jan. 30 news release from SVN | J. Beard Real Estate–Greater Houston, which represented the buyer in the investment transaction.

The Town Center I and II buildings are part of The Woodlands Town Center and Woodlands Waterway expansion that took place 20 years ago, according to the release.

“We are grateful to be involved representing the buyer in this purchase of these truly iconic office buildings," said Jeff Beard, managing director of SVN | J. Beard Real Estate-Greater Houston, in the news release. "As the largest occupant in the project, and one of the original tenants of Town Center from its initial development, this is a strategic acquisition and a great long-term asset for Woodforest. The purchase will allow the bank to ensure its ongoing presence and expand on its long-standing commitment to The Woodlands and Town Center."

According to Beard, the transaction took place over a short time frame, and closing occurred at year-end less than 40 days from the contract signing.

J. Beard will provide leasing and property management services for the buildings, according to the release.
