Mike Arnett said he believes he is staying true to the name of his business, Doing What’s Right Construction, by helping residents in The Woodlands area who now have damaged homes due to Hurricane Harvey.

Arnett’s construction business—which offers full-service remodeling—has been located at Spring Hills Drive for the past eight years. To help repair homes in The Woodlands area that were damaged during the recent storm, Arnett said he is offering a 25 percent discount to homeowners who have been impacted by Hurricane Harvey.

The offer applies to anyone who lives in DWR’s service areas, including Conroe, Kingwood, Magnolia, Oak Ridge North, The Woodlands and Tomball.

“It’s in our name; we try to do the right thing,” Arnett said. “We’re going to be offering this [discount] for the next three to four months. We specialize in all-house remodeling and have a showroom to pick out flooring, cabinets and countertops.”

The construction company provides services that range from bathroom renovations and kitchen remodeling to new garage contractors for any type of home improvement project. Staff members at DWR then work directly with clients to design every aspect of their remodeling projects,” he said.

Arnett, who has been in the remodeling business since 1971, has advised residents whose homes were damaged as a result of the storm and are looking for a contractor to check on the firm’s reputation, ask for proof of insurance and ask for a written estimate.

“Areas recuperating from natural disasters often are prime targets for less-than-honest business activities,” he said.
