1. Shakespeare Festival

The Conroe Downtown Area Association will host the second annual Shakespeare Festival in downtown Conroe. The festival will feature musical performances, one act plays by local students, jesters, impromptu act, duets, vendors and food. 10 a.m.-5 p.m. Free. 2. The Woodlands Nutcracker Market

This shopping event features more than 100 merchants, artists and crafters selling a variety of hand-made crafts, jewelry, women and children’s clothing, original artwork, and holiday decor. Photo opportunities with Santa Claus, the Snow Queen and Princess Anna from "Frozen" will be available as well as special Christmas performances by local dance academies. 10 a.m.-5 p.m. $5 (general admission), Free (children ages 12 and under). 3. Out of Darkness Walk

The largest suicide prevention event in Southeast Texas, the Out of Darkness Walk is held to raise awareness and funds that allow the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention to invest in new research, create educational programs and advocate for public policy.
