As of April 4, Conroe ISD has moved its COVID-19 safety alert from Level 2 to Level 1, the lowest level of risk.
The district previously moved from Level 3 to Level 2 on Feb. 21.
According to CISD, Level 1 precautions include the district continuing to monitor attendance and communicate with the Montgomery County Health Department, communicating with parents to keep sick children home, telling staff to stay home if sick, reviewing its business continuation and pandemic plans as well as other plans regarding emergency operations, communicating precautions to avoid spreading COVID-19 and frequently cleaning common areas.
While Level 2 precautions include considering mask precautions and potentially limiting unnecessary travel, Level 1 precautions do not.
As of April 6, 65 students in the district were isolated for symptoms or positive COVID-19 tests, and two employees were isolated. A total of 17 active student cases and two active employee cases were recorded as of April 6, according to the COVID-19 dashboard maintained by the district.
