Three Missouri City streets will be reconstructed in 2026.

The big picture

At a Feb. 3 meeting, Missouri City City Council approved a nearly $1.17 million design contract with Consor Engineers LLC for a street reconstruction project for Bradford and Fairgreen drives, and Robinson Road.

The project comes as the streets have begun to fail and need total reconstruction, according to agenda documents. The reconstruction is also set to alleviate street ponding.

A closer look

According to agenda documents, the project will include street reconstruction as well as improvements for:
  • Driveways
  • Sidewalks, which will be upgraded to a 5-foot width
  • Storm sewer outlets
Funding will be provided by the city’s $85.85 million bond, which allotted nearly $51.62 million for mobility projects, and was approved by voters in November 2021, Public Works Director Shashi Kumar said.

Going forward

The design phase is estimated to take nine months, with construction bidding in the fourth quarter of 2025, Kumar said.

Construction is expected to begin in the first quarter of 2026, he said.
