Fort Bend ISD's varsity high school football teams played their first games of the 2020 football season Oct. 1-3.

At the Friday night game between Kempner High School and Alvin High School at FBISD's Mercer Stadium, fans—including the dance team and band—were distanced throughout the stands. Due to the ongoing coronavirus pandmeic, masks and temperature screenings were required.
