Three more homes were sold in Sugar Land- and Missouri City-area ZIP codes in October compared to last October, with 236 homes sold versus 233 last year. However, slightly fewer homes were sold than last month in September, when 238 homes were sold across five local ZIP codes.

Two out of five local ZIP codes saw more home sales year over year, with ZIP code 77498 remaining consistent year over year with 30 home sales. The Sugar Land area, ZIP code 77479, saw a 11.43% drop in home sales year over year, but it was also the second-most active area among the five ZIP codes.
The median home sales price rose in four of five local ZIP codes year over year. The largest spike was in the 77498 ZIP code, which saw a 32.49% increase. ZIP code 77479 in Sugar Land had the highest median home sales price among the five at $564,638.
Homes in the $250,000-$449,999 price range continue to sell the most frequently, with 119 homes sold.
Meanwhile, the average number of days homes spent on the market increased in four local ZIP codes. The highest average number of days on the market for the month was in ZIP code 77459 with 85 days.
