Missouri City drivers who normally use the intersection at Gessner Road and Hwy. 90 will have to find an alternate route Feb. 6.

Union Pacific Corp., in conjunction with Missouri City crews, will be performing emergency repair on the roadway from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.

During that time, a portion of Gessner Road will be closed so emergency track maintenance and repair at the railroad crossing can take place.

The roadway will be closed at the railroad crossing in both directions, according to the city. Traffic delays are expected, and motorists are advised to use caution while traveling in the area.
