Sugar Land’s Memorial Park is getting a splashpad.

City Council unanimously approved a $579,451 contract with HD Outdoor Construction, LLC for the construction of the splashpad at a Jan. 20 meeting. The Sugar Land 4B Corporation approved $500,000 in funding for the design and construction of the splashpad in August 2024, and the project was included in the fiscal year 2025 capital improvement plan, according to agenda documents.
The city decided to construct the splashpad following the popularity of one already located at River Park, per agenda documents.
