The Popcorn Bag to relocate farther west on Spring Cypress Road
The Popcorn Bag will relocate from 8701 Spring Cypress Road, Ste. F, Spring, to 9337 Spring Cypress Road, Spring, in late January. Owned by Tim Voigt, the business opened in December 2011 and specializes in gourmet popcorn, boasting more than 40 sweet and savory flavors that change seasonally.
Finesse BJJ now offering martial arts classes in Spring
Finesse BJJ celebrated the grand opening of its new studio at 17711 Kuykendahl Road, Ste. A, Spring, on Jan. 16. The martial arts and fitness studio offers Brazilian jiujitsu classes for adults of all ages and anti-bully Brazilian jiujitsu self-defense classes for children age 5 and older.

Boudreaux's Boiling Shack coming to Magnolia this crawfish season
Local residents Cherie and her husband, Todd Boudreaux, will open a seasonal seafood boiling trailer at the corner of FM 1774 and Tudor Way in Magnolia in mid-February. Boudreaux's Boiling Shack offers seafood boiled in an original crawfish seasoning blend and will also serve boiled sausage, corn and potatoes.

Katy welcomed its first combination drive-thru grocery store at the end of November with Farm Stores, self-described as a neighborhood grocery store combined with a fresh bakery and drive-thru restaurant.
