National discount retailer Burlington will soon open a new Stafford store.

The department store, formerly known as Burlington Coat Factory, offers apparel and accessories for women, men and children, as well as beauty items, footwear and home decor, according to an April 29 news release from the company.

“We’re continuing to expand our footprint across the country and are excited to be opening a new store in Stafford,” Burlington Stores CEO Michael O’Sullivan said in the news release. “We look forward to giving local customers the chance to discover big savings on a wide range of products.”

Zooming out

There are more than 1,000 stores operating nationwide and 114 in Texas with the Stafford opening, according to the release.

What else

Burlington joins other businesses in the Fountains on the Lake shopping center, such as Ross Dress for Less, World Market, Hobby Lobby, Main Event and Conn’s HomePlus. Additionally, Hispanic-inspired seafood and wings restaurant Los Mayitos will open soon at the former spot of Kim Son.
