Red Circle Ice Cream celebrated the one-year anniversary of its Sugar Land location Feb. 19. Located at 3595 Hwy. 6, the franchise shop serves handcrafted ice cream with fresh churros and egg waffles.

A year in, the location is focusing on participating in the community by sponsoring local Spirit Nights with schools and organizations in the area, owner and founder Nickey Ngo said in an email. In early February, the ice cream shop also premiered its new Churro Stix and Churro Bites, which can be dipped in various sauces.

Additionally, Ngo said the shop debuted its newest ice cream flavor, Boba Milk Tea, to the community Feb. 17. The flavor, which features handmade boba, will be available at the Sugar Land location in late February, she said.

“We hope this flavor will not only resonate with our Asian customers, but we want to get people out of their comfort zone to try something new and delicious,” she said.

The Sugar Land location is one of three locations across the Houston area, including in Pearland and the original location in China Town near Bellaire.
