Juliette Nessmith was named the vice president of the Fort Bend Chamber of Commerce, according to a May 18 press release from the chamber.

Nessmith, who has been with the chamber for more than seven years, previously worked as the director of programs.

“Juliette has always served as a mentor to our new staff members and provides tremendous support to the entire team,” said Keri Schmidt, chamber president and CEO, in the release. “Through Juliette’s hard work, loyalty and dedication, she has earned the title vice president.”

Nessmith previously participated in the Fort Bend Leadership Forum Class and Excellence for Nonprofit Leadership. Prior to joining the Fort Bend Chamber of Commerce, she worked at the East St. Tammany Chamber of Commerce in Louisiana. Nessmith graduated with a degree in business administration and management from Southeastern Louisiana University in 2011.

The five-star accredited Fort Bend Chamber of Commerce is one of 207 accredited chambers and 82 five-star chambers in the U.S. according to the release.
