Former MLB player opening JETSET Pilates studio in Missouri City

JETSET Pilates is slated to celebrate the grand opening of its new Missouri City location Oct. 24, officials announced in an Oct. 20 news release.

What they offer

The 2,400-square-foot studio will feature 14 reformers for guests to complete the brand's signature 50-minute classes combining strength, cardio and Pilates-inspired movement set to DJ-curated music, per the release.

About the owner

The Missouri City location is owned by former Major League Baseball player Stone Garrett who grew up in Fort Bend County, per the release. Garrett played for multiple teams, including the Arizona Diamondbacks and Washington Nationals before finishing his career in Korea.

Garrett said he first discovered Reformer Pilates, which helped him rehab his way back to the big leagues after he faced an injury in August 2023.

“After my injury, Reformer Pilates was really the only workout I could do,” Garrett said. “It was pretty much a career-ending injury, but Reformer Pilates helped me get back in shape. When I retired, I saw there was a real need for Reformer Pilates in Fort Bend County, especially in Missouri City and I wanted to bring it to the community I grew up in.”
