May 6-7: Give flowers to mom

The Riverstone Lifestyle Team will host a two-day flower pop-up just in time for Mother’s Day. SMS Novel is hosting an event where guests are welcome to sit down with a writer for a 90-minute interview that will be turned into a book about the customer’s life. May 7-8 and May 14-15: Use the art force

War’Hous and Missouri City will host May the 4th Art Festival, a "Star Wars"-themed art festival taking place for the 10th year in a row. Located in the Missouri City Community Center, the event will feature art, food, cosplayers, activities, a DJ and complimentary beverages for the whole family. Noon. $10. May 13-15 and May 20-22: Enjoy local theater


A Disney-to-stage adaptation of "The Hunchback of Notre Dame" will be performed at the Inspiration Stage. The play, based off a novel by Victor Hugo, follows a hunchbacked bell-ringer named Quasimodo as he navigates unrequited love and discrimination in 15th century Paris. 7:30 p.m. (May 13-14, 20-21); 2:30 p.m. (May 14-15, 21-22). May 21: Paint with the family

Painting with a Twist will host a family-friendly evening. Children and adults who want to participate will paint a picture based on an animal cracker. May 20: Dance to country old and new


Opry on the Square will take place in Sugar Land Town Square, featuring country music from all eras performed by Country Then and Now. May 21: Savor Louisiana

Crown Festival Park will host the 7th annual Taste of Louisiana Festival. The festival will feature Louisiana cuisine but also some international dishes as well as live music, activities and cooking classes.
