Jenan Blank, the president and CEO of the Spring-Klein Chamber of Commerce, announced her resignation from the position via Facebook on Dec. 21.

Blank was first named to the position Feb. 20, 2019, following the resignation of former President and CEO Brooks Williams. Prior to her appointment, Blank served as the chamber's executive vice president.

"This has been a truly hard year for all businesses in [the] Spring-Klein area including the Chamber," Blank wrote in a statement on the Chamber's Facebook page. "During this time my family has done a lot of reflecting and [I] have come to the decision that I need to be more available for my family at this time."

The chamber has not yet announced plans for Blank's replacement as of press time Dec. 21. For more information about the Spring-Klein Chamber of Commerce, click here.

"It has been a fun ride the last seven—almost eight years. I have met some of the greatest people in the area and truly consider them friends. We have done so much together [and] I have a flood of awesome memories and I thank you for that," Blank wrote. "I ask you to continue to support your Chamber—it is a lifeline for the community and always will be. You have great things ahead for 2021."
