1. Construction on the extension of Holderrieth Road between Calvert Road and Hwy. 249 began Jan. 29. The $6 million project funded by Harris County includes extending the four-lane concrete boulevard with appropriate drainage.

2.  A $629,053 joint participation project between Harris County and the Tomball Economic Development Corporation to install a traffic signal at Hufsmith-Kohrville and Holderrieth roads was completed Jan. 24.

3. Harris County Precinct 1 is widening Walters Road between FM 1960 and Old Walters Road from two to four lanes as well as installing a new traffic signal and a left-turn lane at Bammel North Houston Road. The cost of the project is $11 million.
