Austin-based Ally Medical Emergency Room opened a new state-of-the-art 8,000-square-foot facility in Spring on June 1.

Located at 2490 FM 2920, Spring, the new facility is equipped with a complete range of diagnostic equipment to perform ultrasounds, X-rays and computed tomographies, or CT scans. The new location also features a dedicated pediatric suite and spacious patient rooms, according to a June 14 news release.

"Ally Medical is excited to bring our community-health-focused services to the Spring area," said Dr. Jacob Thomas, medical director at Ally Medical ER in Spring, in a statement. "Our local staff provides a higher level of care because we are part of the community and understand its needs. As Ally Medical continues to grow, our partners, physicians and staff are dedicated to the rapid, patient-centered approach that sets Ally Medical apart."

According to the release, Ally Medical ERs specialize in providing emergency and trauma care for both children and adults, ranging from broken bones and allergy or asthma attacks to severe stomach or chest pain. The new facility also provides on-site testing and imaging services, and offers inpatient capabilities in which a patient may be observed for up to 23 hours to ensure they are stable to go home. Ally Medical ERs also maintain hospital transfer agreements, should a patient need to be transferred for an extended inpatient stay.

This is the sixth location for the freestanding physician-owned ER company, which has additional locations in Bastrop, Central Austin, Clear Lake, South Austin and Round Rock. 281-353-0911. www.allymedical.com
