The Cypress Creek Foundation for the Arts and Community Enrichment announced its 26th anniversary season beginning Oct. 8 at The Centrum in a July 26 news release.

"We are excited that everything is finally returning to the new normal—living with COVID," said Nanci Decker, Cypress Creek FACE executive director, in a statement. "With COVID somewhat behind us and The Centrum renovated, we are very excited to be presenting a full season of performances again."

The 2022-23 Star-Lit Series performance schedule is as follows:

  • Oct. 8: The 5th Dimension

  • Nov. 26: The Texas Tenors’ Deep in the Heart of Christmas

  • Dec. 31: The Four Freshmen

  • Jan. 28: The Music of Sam Cooke: A Change is Gonna Come Starring Bradd Marquis

  • Feb. 25: The Kingdom Choir

  • March 25: StepCrew

  • May 20: Michael Cavanaugh performing the music of Billy Joel and Elton John


In addition to the Star-Lit Series, The Centrum will also be hosting the Promenade Series. According to the release, this series features classical, harp, brass, flute, piano, strings and more, in nine afternoon concerts held on the second Tuesday of each month from September to May. A Promenade Series season ticket costs $99 for all nine concerts.

Additionally, Cypress Creek FACE will host its Free Children’s Series at the Mangum-Howell Community Center on select Saturdays at 11 a.m. This season's series will include Houston Brass Quintet presenting “A Night at the Opera,” Houston Grand Opera’s Opera to Go! presenting “Monkey and Francine in the City of Tigers,” Voices from the Past presenting “Git on Board! The Life of Harriet Tubman” and Act Houston presenting “The Story of the Lone Star State.”
