Spring ISD graduation ceremonies will be held beginning June 4 at Planet Ford Stadium, 23802 Cypresswood Drive, Spring.

Separate ceremonies will be held for each high school at the following times:

  • Spring Early College-Friday, June 4 at 8 a.m.

  • Westfield High School-Friday, June 4 at 8 p.m.

  • Andy Dekaney High School-Saturday, June 5 at 8 a.m.

  • Carl Wunsche Sr. High School-Saturday, June 5 at 8 p.m.

  • Spring High School-Sunday, June 6 at 8 p.m.

District officials noted guests and graduates will be required to wear masks at the event, as well as pre-screen for COVID-19 symptoms before attending. Social distancing will be required when entering and exiting the stadium.

Ticketing

Each graduate will receive 10 tickets for their guests, except for Carl Wunsche Sr. High School and Spring Early College, due to smaller graduating class sizes.

Graduation tickets should be used for all guests above the age of one. Guests below the age of one will be required to sit on a family member’s lap.

District officials are recommending anyone considered “at risk” for COVID-19 to view their respective graduation ceremonies on the SISD website at www.springisd.org.

What to bring

Bags, regardless of size, will be prohibited at the ceremonies. If a carrying container is required for health reasons, a small clear bag must be used.

Miscellaneous items such as balloons, flowers, food, drinks, signs, posters, noisemakers and confetti will not be allowed in Planet Ford Stadium.

Parking

Students, parents and guests will be directed to parking lots A and B at Planet Ford Stadium. Overflow parking will be directed to Lot D.

To ensure sufficient parking availability, district officials noted only two cars will be allowed per graduate. If necessary, a shuttle bus will be available to transport guests from remote parking areas at Bailey Middle School and Burchett Elementary School.

Officials noted families and guests should arrive at least one hour before the ceremony begins.

Other things to know

A photo opportunity will be available after graduates have walked across the stage and picked up their diplomas. Guests will be asked to take photographs or videos from their seats.

At the end of the ceremony, graduates will be released from the field first and will meet their families at their cars. Guests will be required to stay seated until they are dismissed by an usher.

Any guests requiring additional accommodations can contact the campus from which their student is graduating directly.
