Following Gov. Greg Abbott's executive order to close all schools though the end of the 2019-20 school year, Klein ISD followed suit, announcing closures on its website April 17.

The district will thus continue with at-home learning; the district recently released new grading criteria.

KISD is also distributing meals curbside and providing backpacks with food and printed lessons for students in need throughout the duration of the closure.
