In Spring, La'Dough Sweets—a cookie bakery—is now open, according to a Sept. 23 email from a spokesperson for the business. The shop is owned by Damita Allen and serves cookie flavors such as sweet potato casserole, Biscoff caramel drizzle and red velvet Oreo.

La’Dough was named using the initials of Allen’s children—Lea, Alexis and Denzel—according to the business’s website. The bakery is female- and black-owned, and family-operated.
