Editor's note: this article has been updated to include the name of the new menu at The Chef's Table.

During the first week of June, The Chef’s Table will be launching a new menu concept dubbed "Out of Africa" featuring wild game such as ostrich, impala, Karoo lamb and Karoo lamb backstrap. Owner and executive chef Paul Friedman, who grew up in South Africa, said he visited Africa in February and was inspired by the wild game there.

Friedman opened The Chef’s Table in Vintage Park in late 2020. The restaurant’s current menu—which will be available alongside the new menu—boasts dishes such as jerk snapper and Vlees Pastei, which is curried beef served in a pastry crust with mango chutney.
