Several projects funded by the $498 million 2015 bond election will be completed this summer, said Robert Robertson, Klein ISD associate superintendent for facility and school services.


Klein Cain High School is in the final phases of construction and will open to students in August. The cost of the project was $185 million.


Site work on Intermediate School No. 10 was underway in May. The $46.4 million school will open in August 2018, Robertson said.


Construction of the $13.5 million Klein Forest Career Technical Education Center will begin in June, and the facility has a projected opening date of August 2018.


Northcrest Agri-Science Facility construction at a location near Northcrest Drive and the Grand Parkway scheduled to be complete in November 2017, Robertson said.


A 10-classroom addition and construction of a second gymnasium for Wunderlich Intermediate School was nearly completed in early June.


Other projects schedule for completion this summer include turf installation at Klein Forest, Klein Collins and Klein Oak high schools and classroom sound enhancement at three elementary schools.
