Saturday: Rail Fest The tenth annual Rail Fest will be held at the Rosenberg Railroad Museum grounds, 1921 Ave. F, Rosenberg. The event well be held from 10 a.m. – 5 p.m. and will have train themed bounce houses, crafts and games, face painting, and the brand new “Texas Flyer” trackless train. The event will also have local food trucks and live music. Free. 281-275-2885. http://www.sugarlandtx.gov/eggstravaganza Runaway Scrape Re-Enactment On Saturday, April 8th, the George Ranch Historical Park will re-create the Runaway Scrape and Engagement at Thompson’s Ferry, where thousands of Texans fled from their homes as Santa Anna’s army began to march towards San Jacinto. The re-enactments will be held at 10:30 a.m. and 2:30 p.m. The Jones Stock Farm will provide a historic meal at 12:30 p.m. Reservations are recommended and the meals will cost $15 (13 and up), $12 (5-12), and $4 (under 4).
