The Richmond area had a handful of contested races this year. More than 65 percent of eligible Fort Bend County voters turned out to cast their ballots in the Nov. 8 election. County election officials reported record turnout during early voting, and voter turnout records show Richmond precincts saw 55 to 60 percent turnout.
