After three years leading the Central Fort Bend Chamber, Regina Morales is stepping down as president, according to a Jan. 11 letter from chamber officials.
Morales will continue to serve the chamber for an interim period on a contract basis, but has officially stepped down to focus on her family business, according to the letter.
"We wish nothing but the best for Regina and her family," the letter from the chamber stated. "We are grateful for the extensive notice she provided to ensure a smooth transition of Chamber operations."
A search for a new president is currently underway and several candidates have already been contacted.
"We assure you we will find a capable leader who will continue to move the chamber forward and one who will focus on the chamber's vision of being recognized as the most valuable resource to new and existing local businesses."
