Memorial Hermann Sports Park-Pearland officials held a ribbon-cutting Nov. 4 to commemorate the opening of the new sports medicine and human performance facility on the campus of Memorial Hermann Pearland Hospital, according to a Nov. 7 news release from the hospital.

The details

The 50,000-square-foot facility, located at 111049 Memorial Hermann Drive, Pearland, is a $15 million investment for the Pearland community, according to the release.

The collaboration between Memorial Hermann Health System, Athlete Training and Health, and UT Physicians Orthopedics aims to address the needs of professional athletes, youth athletes and active adults, according to the release.

The facility includes a clinic from the Memorial Hermann Rockets Sports Medicine Institute, doctors trained in sports medicine, and an Athlete Training and Health training center.


The training center features:
  • An adult fitness area
  • A weight room
  • An indoor turf field for performance training
  • An outdoor turf field for soccer, football and lacrosse

“We are very proud to be a part of this game-changing collaboration in Pearland,” said Greg Centilli, COO of Athlete Training and Health, in the release. “This center is built on a medical backbone with highly educated coaches who provide world-class sports training and adult fitness training.”

Centilli said he aims for the facility to be a “great partner” to Pearland and its surrounding communities as being the “one-stop shop” for all athletic and fitness needs for anyone age 8 and up.
