HCA Houston Healthcare Pearland, in a Feb. 23 news release, announced it named a new chief nursing officer on Jan. 1.

Jeanette Pennick will be the Pearland campus’ new CNO and will oversee patient care, clinical initiatives, nursing operations and nurse leader development, according to the news release.

“Jeanette brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to this role, and I could not be happier to have her as a permanent member of our senior leadership team,” said David Wagner, HCA Houston Healthcare Pearland’s chief executive officer. “Providing excellent patient-centered care is her priority, and I know our nursing colleagues and medical staff will appreciate her advocacy for nursing and clinical vision for our hospital.”

Pennick had been HCA Houston Healthcare Pearland’s director of emergency services since July 2017, according to the release. She has lived in the Pearland community for over 14 years.

“It is an honor to continue serving the Pearland community as a leader of nurses,” Pennick said in the release. “It’s also humbling to be a part of such a compassionate multidisciplinary health care team, who are committed to the care and improvement of human life.”
