The city of Quinlan in Hunt County requested to enter into an interlocal agreement with Pearland for the purpose of exchanging goods and services on an as-needed basis. If the agreement passes, any cooperative purchase by the city of Pearland in excess of $50,000 will first be presented to the City Council for approval.

Pearland holds similar cooperative interlocal agreements with the cities of Missouri City and Rosenburg, according to the upcoming March 27 meeting agenda.

According to the agenda, the city of Quinlan is interested in utilizing Pearland’s Texas Drainage contract.

Other items on the agenda include a special meeting where the council will discuss its ongoing search for a new city manager in a closed session. Applications for the role closed March 19.

Additionally, the council will be presented a budget update and will lay out its strategic priorities for the remainder of 2023.

Pearland City Council meetings are streamed live on the city’s official YouTube page. Agendas can be viewed on the city website.
