Mommy & Me Yoga

BodyBarre fitness facility hosts this six-week mindful movement series every Friday between Jan. 31 to March 7 for postpartum mothers and babies younger than 1-years-old. Participants can drop in for one session or pay for the entire series.

The Little Mermaid Ballet

The Friendswood Contemporary Ballet troupe will perform “The Little Mermaid” in February, with choreography, vibrant costumes and magical sets to help bring the story to life.Pearland Half Marathon

This seventh annual half marathon, 10K, 5K and kids K takes place at Pearland’s Independence Park. Hydration stations stocked with water and electrolytes will be posted at every mile.Friendswood Library Gala: Camelot Beckons


The Friendswood Library will transform into an after-dark experience modeled after Camelot—a legendary castle and court in Arthurian legend associated with King Arthur. The Pearland Town Center hosts this fourth annual cultural festival of colors. The event will feature a 5K color run, dance performances, international food, shopping and live music.Hops & Clover Craft and Vendor Show

Pearland Market Days hosts this St. Patrick’s Day-themed market, which features 95 local vendors, food trucks, a bounce house, petting zoo, live music, face painting and arts and crafts. This event will take place at the Pearland KC Hall.Alvin Comic Con & Toy Show

This second annual event by Enchanted Cottage sweets shop takes place at the Knights of Columbus Hall in Alvin. It will feature over 80 vendors inside and outside selling comics, food and toys; as well as cosplay and several activities for kids.

Friendswood Fish Camp

The Friendswood Parks & Recreation Department hosts these classes in March at Centennial Park. Attendees will learn hook safety, rod assembly, local fish identification, casting and reeling, all while catching fish. Registration opens Feb. 5.
