With all polling places reporting, Albert "AJ" Johnson III wins the majority vote for Alvin ISD Position 1. Johnson received 2,367 votes, or 50.22% of the vote. He unseats incumbent Julie Pickren, who received 2,002 votes, or 42.48% of the vote. Candidate Elanza Pitre-Wilson received 344 votes, or 7.3% of the vote.

Cory Scott wins the majority vote for Position 2. Scott received 2,006 votes, or 43.17% of the vote. Binu John received 244 votes, or 5.25% of the vote; Judy Ann Peterson received 371 votes, or 7.98% of the vote; Vernice Seriale Jr. received 899 votes, or 19.35% of the vote; and Regina Stredic received 1,127 votes, or 24.25% of the vote.

Incumbent Cheryl B. Harris narrowly won the majority vote for Position 3. Harris won 1,745 votes, or 37.41% of the vote. Ron Lockett II, received 1,450 votes, or 31.09% of the vote. Shirley Dill Brothers received 1,469 votes, or 31.5% of the vote.

Early voting and absentee ballots are starting to roll in for the Alvin ISD trustee election. Eleven out of 33 polling places are reporting.

For Position 1, Albert “AJ” Johnson III, has received 1,550 votes, or 50.24% of the vote. Elanza Pitre-Wilson has received 204 votes, or 6.61% of the vote. Incumbent Julie Pickren has received 1,331 votes, or 43.14% of the vote.


For Position 2, Binu John received 153 votes, or 5.04% of the vote. Judy Ann Peterson received 239 votes, or 7.88% of the vote. Vernice Seriale Jr. has received 550 votes, or 18.13% of the vote. Cory Scott received 1,365 votes, or 45% of the vote. Regina Stredic has received 726 votes, or 23.94% of the vote.

For Position 3, incumbent Cheryl B. Harris has received 1,191 votes, or 39.1% of the vote. Ron Lockett, II, has received 897 votes, or 29.45% of the vote. Shirley Dill Brothers has received 958 votes, or 31.45% of the vote.
