According to district agenda documents, the instructional calendar includes the following notable dates:
- Sept. 1: Labor Day
- Sept. 22, Feb. 16 and April 24: Student holidays, professional learning days for staff
- Oct. 15-20: Student holiday
- Oct. 15: Parent conferences
- Oct. 16-17: Exchange professional development day
- Oct. 20: Teacher planning
- Nov. 24-28: Thanksgiving break
- Dec. 19: Early dismissal
- Dec. 22-Jan. 2: Winter break
- Jan. 5: Student holiday, teacher planning
- Jan. 19: Martin Luther King Jr. Day
- Feb. 13: Presidents Day
- March 9-13: Spring break
- April 3: Good Friday
- April 6: Student holiday, teacher planning
- May 21: Last day of school, early dismissal
Two instructional calendar drafts were shared at the board of trustees’ December meeting.
Among the two options, the Superintendent’s Advisory Committee and District Advisory Committee recommended Draft B, due to it allowing a professional learning day in late April, district agenda documents note.
The board of trustees approved Draft B.
