COVID-19 case counts reported in late September and early October are lower than the case counts reported daily in mid-September. Between Sept. 21 and Oct. 5, Brazoria County reported the most new daily cases Sept. 25. Brazoria County reported 103 new active cases Sept. 25, which is lower than the 199 new cases reported Sept. 11.

Pearland’s daily reported case counts mimic the county’s. Out of Brazoria County’s 669 active cases, Pearland has 207 active cases, according to data from Brazoria County. Of the county’s total active cases, nearly half of the individuals are 20-49 years old.


The number of COVID-19 patients in general-use beds has remained consistent since Sept. 21, according to data from the Southeast Texas Regional Advisory Council. Suspected and confirmed COVID-19 patients took up nine to 17 general-use beds; the county has 425 general-use beds and a surge capacity of 510.
