Here are some businesses expected to open this year in Pearland and a relocated business that previously opened in Friendswood.

Torchy’s Tacos officially opened its first Pearland location March 15 at 2800 E. Broadway St., Ste. P. The new location comes with an outdoor patio, several signature tacos and cocktails. Breakfast tacos are served all day, including popular brisket and egg taco “The Wrangler.”

Kolache Shoppe plans to open a new location at 11940 Broadway St., Ste. 170, Pearland, according to the company website. The location has plans to open in summer. The Houston-based franchise offers a variety of kolaches since its doors first opened in 1970. This site marks the fourth location and first location in the southern Houston area.

The new Nishiki Japanese Restaurant is expected to be built at 3414 Business Center Drive, Ste. 110, Pearland, according to The Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation. Construction for this 3,209-square-foot restaurant will start May 15 and is expected to be completed Nov. 15, according to TDLR.

Pearland Storage, a new self-storage facility, will be built at 1301 Main St., Pearland, according to The Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation. Construction is expected to start April 1 and be completed March 2024. The facility will be three stories high with eight for-lease suites, according to the TDLR page. The project is privately funded at an estimated cost of $8 million and is being developed by BCE Development LLC.

Relocations


Bijou Salon Suites relocated to 3348 FM 528 Road, Ste. 9, Friendswood, in February. As part of their grand reopening lasting through March 31, the store will offer a special where any acrylic nail set is $40. Other services offered include shellac, acrylic overlays, pedicures, hand massages and cuticle maintenance.
